Gifts arrive from England
Gifts of basic supplies such as toiletries and writing materials sent from England to the children at Joy Nursery and Primary have caused quite a stir.
The bags of love were donated by families from St Mary’s in Oxsted and shipped thousands of miles to our school just outside Kampala. Each child received a bag, which they will then be able to use for their school things, containing basics such as a toothbrush and toothpaste, pens and pencils and a small gift.
Headteacher at Joy Primary and Nursery, Emmanuel Mukiibi says: “We thanks you from our hearts for the love you have shown to our school.”
St Mary’s Oxted has been providing ongoing support to Joy Primary and Nursery, which offers an opportunity for both sets of children to learn more about life in a very different part of the world.
